About Neighborhood Club Thrift Shop
Neighborhood Club Thrift Shop at 17670 Mack Ave in Grosse Pointe, MI traces its beginnings to a 1928 rummage sale. Marion Jarves Alger and a few friends organized the sale at the Neighborhood Club to raise money to furnish its new community center. Its success led to the establishment of the thrift shop to help offset the club’s program expenses. Today, support for the shop continues to fund Neighborhood Club programs and activities in Grosse Pointe, MI.
The store sells used goods, with new items arriving daily. Donations are accepted Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., except when the store is closed for a holiday; donation guidelines are available on its website. In-store shopping and clothing recycling are available, and the shop accepts credit and debit cards. The entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible. Delivery is not offered.
