Grosse Pointe Shores is the smallest and quietest of the five Pointes — a village that straddles the Wayne and Macomb county line and is almost entirely residential. There is no shopping district here in the sense that the City, the Farms or the Woods have one. What the Shores has instead is the lake, and a stretch of Lake Shore Road that is among the most scenic drives in southeast Michigan: water on one side, deep lawns and long-established houses on the other.
